Foster Application

Thank you for your interest in fostering with Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue! Fostering gives a husky a safe, loving place to decompress, heal, and prepare for their forever home. We ask foster families to offer patience, consistency, and compassionate care as their foster dog adjusts to a new routine. Our team will be here to support you throughout the journey.

What is your current housing status?
If renting, do you have permission from your landlord to house the dog that you are interested in?
What type of home do you live in?
Do you have any other pets at home?
Are all of your pets spayed/neutered?
Are all of your pets vaccinated?
Have you owned or fostered a Husky, Malamute, or other high-energy/northern breed before?
Do you consent to a basic home check (virtual or in-person)?

Foster Agreement

By fostering a dog for Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue, I agree to:

  1. Provide the dog with a safe, humane, and loving indoor environment, including appropriate food, fresh water, exercise, supervision, and daily care.

  2. Contact Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue regarding any illness, injury, or veterinary needs. I understand that veterinary care must be coordinated and approved by the rescue unless it is an emergency.

  3. Understand that Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue cannot guarantee the dog’s health, temperament, behavior, or training.

  4. Follow the rescue’s instructions regarding veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, medications, and other necessary care.

  5. Not surrender, sell, give away, adopt out, or independently rehome the dog. If I can no longer foster the dog, I will contact Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue to arrange for the dog’s return or transfer.

  6. Understand that the dog remains under the care and ownership of Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue unless a separate adoption agreement is completed.

 

Release of Liability

I understand that fostering an animal involves inherent risks. I agree to release Kiowa’s House Husky Rescue and its representatives from liability for claims arising from the foster dog’s behavior or actions, to the extent permitted by law.
